About this item

Consumer involvement is increasingly recognised as a cornerstone of relevant, ethical, and high-impact health research. But what does meaningful co-design actually look like in practice?

Course/Activity Information

This webinar explores how researchers can work alongside consumers to shape research that reflects community priorities and lived experience. Dr Eleni Kavaliotis, a registered psychologist and sleep researcher at Monash University, will share her experience using co-design to bridge clinical research and lived experience in the context of sleep and mental health. Dr Beck O’Hara, a digital health researcher at Flinders University, will discuss experiences gained as Project Coordinator for the EndoZone project; a co-created digital health platform for people affected by endometriosis. This session will explore how co-design can be adapted to different research contexts, with the hope of leaving attendees with practical insights, considerations, and inspiration for embedding consumer voices in their own work.
